Undercart

Undercart provides business intelligence about Shopify stores through its web application and Chrome extension.

Information we process

When you open the Chrome extension, it reads the domain of your current active tab and sends that domain to the Undercart service to find or create the requested store profile. The extension does not read page content, record browsing activity in the background, or access other open tabs.

Account information used to sign in to the Undercart web application is processed to authenticate you and provide access to the service.

When you use the Undercart API or the Undercart MCP connector (for example, by adding Undercart as a custom connector in an AI assistant such as Claude), we process the credential used to authenticate your requests — either an OAuth authorization you grant with your Undercart Google sign-in, or an API key you provide — along with the query parameters you send — such as store domains, categories, countries, revenue ranges, and technology filters — in order to return the requested Shopify store intelligence. These queries are the search terms you choose to send; we do not receive the contents of your AI assistant conversations. If you connect Undercart to a third-party client such as Claude, the store intelligence we return to that client is thereafter handled under that client’s own privacy terms.

How we use information

We use information only to authenticate users, provide requested store intelligence, operate and secure the service, and improve its reliability. We do not sell user data, use it for lending or creditworthiness decisions, or use it for purposes unrelated to Undercart.

Data sharing and retention

We may use service providers that process data on our behalf to host, secure, and operate Undercart. We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes and applicable legal obligations.
